A very impressive American Brilliant Cut Glass pitcher most likely made in the late 19th C. - perhaps c. 1890 - with a belt of hobnails and stars above and below. The handle is faceted; the spout is elongated forward; the saw teeth are beveled. The base has a 32 point starburst. 10 1/8" h. Condition is excellent though not perfect. This pitcher (or jug) is quite heavy and striking versatile enough to use for serving liquid refreshments or holding a bouquet of flowers.
